Located in Sydney’s west, GME operates from our purpose built facility which
houses our industry leading manufacturing and engineering capabilities.
Employing over 195 Staff, GME continues our on-going commitment to
Australian design and manufacturing.
Our History
1959 – Company Founded by Edward “Ted” Dunn
1979 – First Australian EPIRB Produced
1981 – First UHF Radio Assembly
1988 – First SMT Production
1989 – World’s First VHF Integrated Sea Phone
1993 – ISO 9001 Accreditation
1998 – TX3200 UHF Radio Platform
2004 – Produced First Australian 406 MHz EPIRB
2013 – Purpose-built Headquarters in Winston Hills
2016 – First Connected UHF CB Platform – XRS™ Connect
2017 – First Digital Radio Platform Including P25
2018 – First XRS™ Location Services (Tier 1 AVL) Released

In-house Quality Assurance
GME takes immense pride in the quality of our products, they are designed to
meet or exceed not only Australian but International CE, FCC and Cospas-Sarsat
standards, as required.
During their development our products and components undergo rigorous
testing.
