What’s the difference between UHF and VHF?
UHF and VHF are different frequency bands used for two-way radio communications.
UHF stands for Ultra High Frequency, and is predominantly used in Land-based applications.
VHF stands for Very High Frequency, and is predominantly used in Marine-based applications.
Why are GME products more expensive than some other brands?
GME has been designing, engineering and manufacturing UHF CB radios in Australia for over 40 years. We are the only Australian manufacturer of UHF CB radios, and have a closer connection to the Australian market than any other brand.
This means that we have a deep understanding of the requirements of our customers and design the best UHF CB radios on the market. While GME radios may cost more than some lower-quality radios, you can expect many years of trouble-free, reliable performance from your GME radio.
