This is a great two way radio. I love its robust and sturdy design. I work as a traffic controller and use this radio daily. Being able to communicate with other traffic controllers is a very important part of my job. This radio is very reliable and I never miss a radio transmission. My job involves working in all weather conditions and this radio never fails to deliver. This is actually my second radio that I have purchased for my role. My first radio was a uniden Xtrak, 50-O, Smrt UHF Radio. I only purchased the Uniden radio because it was through the company that I'm employed with. I found the Uniden to be not very reliable and would constantly miss transmissions from my co workers in relation to managing traffic flow. I would constantly have to turn the Uniden on and off to 'reset' the radio. Since using the GME, I've never had any issues with receiving communications from my Co workers.
