GME Board Member Recognised In Queens Birthday Honours

GME Pty Ltd Director, Dr Bronwyn Evans, has been appointed as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for her significant service to Engineering, Standards and Medical Technology.

Dr Bronwyn Evans has been a member of GME’s Board of Directors since October 2020, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company as the current CEO of Engineers Australia, Chair of Building 4.0 CRC, Director of the Australia-Japan Foundation, and is a member of both the University of Wollongong Council and the Industry 4.0 Advanced Manufacturing Forum Leadership group.

In addition to her current responsibilities, Dr Evans has previously held executive-level roles in Cochlear and GE Medical Systems, was recently the CEO of Standards Australia, Vice President (Finance) of the International Standards Organisation (ISO), and Chair of MTP Connect (the Industry Growth Centre for Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals).

Announcing the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, the Governor-General said:

“On behalf of all Australians, congratulations to all recipients. Each of these individuals are unique and their story deserves to be shared widely and celebrated.”

In response to the announcement of her appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia, Dr Evans said:

“It is a real thrill to receive this recognition and to be included in such an illustrious group. GME is an exciting and innovative company and I am delighted to be able to contribute my experience to the Board.”
