TX6600S: Helping Farmers Stay Connected out on the Property

The agriculture industry is full of tough jobs and often takes place in some of the harshest and most remote areas that this country has to offer. Pair that with potentially dangerous day-to-day tasks such as yarding cattle and the operation of heavy machinery, and there is the potential for things to go wrong, especially when operating in areas with limited or no mobile reception.

In an occupation fraught with potential danger, it is important to remain connected to your co-workers with a UHF radio. Whilst many farm vehicles already have a fixed mount UHF on-board, the job often requires work on foot where the fixed mount UHF may no longer be the best option.

Our latest handheld UHF development, the TX6600S, is designed specifically with this in mind and aims to provide farmers with a means of reliable communication once they leave their vehicle.

The Australian Made TX6600S is a 5-watt handheld UHF radio that features a rugged IP67 ingress-protection rating, meaning it is completely dustproof and waterproof.  The TX6600S also meets military standards (MIL-STD 810G) which ensures exceptional performance in the harshest working environments.

The TX6600S offers a suite of features that make it a handy addition to any farmers kit, including 5/1/0.1-watt switchable transmission power, multiple power saving modes and ScanSuite. Additionally, the TX6600S includes 119 user-programmable receive only channels (403-520MHz) for easy integration into existing private UHF networks and utilises a rotary channel selection knob with voice announcement  which allows you to quickly and easily change channels without looking at the radio’s screen.

Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Australia, the class-leading TX6600S is backed with a 5-year warranty and is available from authorised GME dealers nationally.

So, wherever the job may take you, take the TX6600S.
