GME Extends Partnership with Marine Rescue Hawkesbury

GME has recently extended our ongoing partnership with Marine Rescue Hawkesbury. In addition to the donation of radio communications equipment for the fit-out of the Hawkesbury 22 rescue boat, GME has now committed an ongoing financial contribution to assist with running costs of Hawkesbury 30, the team’s brand new, state-of-the-art rescue boat.

Marine Rescue Hawkesbury is unique in its operation as one of the smaller units in terms of volunteers, covering one of the largest areas in NSW, with their vessel’s patrols extending over 111km. This includes the full length of the Hawkesbury River and surrounding coastal areas.

In addition to their rescue efforts Marine Rescue Hawkesbury offers support to several major community events such as the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic and Bridge-to-Bridge Water Ski Classic, as well as the New Year’s Eve, Australia Day, and Boxing Day celebrations on Sydney Harbour.

GME ‘s Marketing Manager, Tony Crooke and Brand Marketing Specialist, Lewis Pascoe were recently invited to the Marine Rescue Hawkesbury base to meet with Unit Commander Peter Moore, Deputy Unit Commander Ian Harding and crew member Phil Kwok for a first-hand look at the impressive new vessel and to learn more about the assistance the team provides to the community.

GME is proud to support Marine Rescue Hawkesbury and the important work they do to keep our waterways safe.
