GME Receives Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority Grant

GME recently submitted a successful application to the Australian Federal Government seeking a Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority (SICP) Grant in support of our ongoing work in the Australian Defence sector.

The SICP grant will greatly assist the GME Defence Team as we rapidly develop our capabilities to provide ongoing local design and manufacturing solutions to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The purpose of SICP grants, facilitated by the Department of Defence, is to allow Australian Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to expedite improvements and upgrades to existing manufacturing capabilities in support of Defence, ultimately enabling the production of local technical solutions rather than relying on international suppliers.

The GME Defence Team is extremely proud to be awarded a SICP Grant and acknowledge the support offered by the Australian Government as we continue to push the boundaries in the RF Communications space to provide world-class, customised solutions to our nation’s Defence Force.

GME will utilise the SICP grant to assist in the construction of a dedicated Zone 4 Manufacturing Facility within our Sydney headquarters, ensuring secure, advanced manufacturing technology is locally available to the Australian Defence sector.

GME’s Zone 4 Manufacturing Facility, currently under construction, will be the largest of its kind in Australia, and positions the company for strong growth as we look to strengthen our role as a valued supplier to the ADF.
