More than 3 million Australians are currently living with anxiety, depression or both, and people in hard-working regional Australia face more barriers to accessing health care than people living in major cities. On top of this, the global COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us in different ways.
One of the most effective and easily accessible support mechanisms for people experiencing mental health issues is communication and simply having a chat with someone. At GME we know better than most how important communication is for Australians, not just on the roads but also between one another. In light of the ongoing challenges we are all facing, GME has joined forces with ARB to contribute to the fantastic work of Beyond Blue and help Australians in need.
On Monday 2nd August 2021, we will be releasing a brand new, limited-edition, Blue UHF CB Antenna, known as the AE4705BB.
This striking blue, Australian Made antenna will not only make vehicles stand out from the crowd but $40 from the sale of each antenna will be donated directly to Beyond Blue to assist their ongoing efforts supporting Australians affected by anxiety, depression, and suicide.
Beyond Blue CEO Georgie Harman said, “Every dollar of this generous donation will go to the Beyond Blue Support Service, which is staffed by mental health professionals who can provide free counselling, advice, and referrals over the phone or via webchat and email 24/7.”
